Who these terms are with
orvasn.com is Orva Studies Network’s website. These terms apply whenever you read the site, use a link from it or sign up for study updates. Anyone who does not accept them should stop using the site.
What Orva provides
Orva provides general information about clinical research in six areas of health, links to searches of the public register ClinicalTrials.gov, and optional updates by email or text. Orva does not run, fund or choose studies, provide medical care, give medical advice or decide who takes part in research.
An update from Orva points to information. It is not a referral, an enrollment, a recommendation of any treatment or an indication that any study would accept you.
Information, not advice
Area pages and guides describe research in general terms. They cannot account for your own health. Ask a qualified health professional before you start, stop or change any treatment, and before deciding to take part in a study.
Links to the public register
Searches open on ClinicalTrials.gov, which Orva does not operate. Listings are written by study teams and can change or close at any time. What a listing says, and how its team handles your information, is the responsibility of that team and that site.
Signing up
To sign up you must be at least 18 and give details that are your own and correct. You can ask us to update your details or close your sign-up at any time.
SMS text messaging
Program description
The Orva Studies Network study updates program sends recurring automated marketing text messages, sent directly by Orva Studies Network, to people who opt in. The messages are about clinical research in the six areas of health Orva writes about, such as a new guide or the questions listings in an area tend to raise, along with messages about your sign-up. Every message begins with [Orva].
How you opt in
You opt in by giving your mobile number on the Study updates page and checking the text message box, which is never checked in advance. That page is the only place on orvasn.com that asks for a mobile number.
Consent
Consent is not a condition of purchase or service, or of taking part in any study. You can use every page of this site, and contact any study team, without agreeing to texts.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies, up to 4 messages per month.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. Orva does not charge for its messages.
Opting out
Reply STOP at any time to opt out and cancel. You will receive a single confirmation and no further messages. You can also ask us to stop by email or by phone.
Help
Reply HELP for help, or contact us on (719) 701-8266 or at info@orvasn.com, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Mountain.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your mobile information will not be shared with any third party for marketing purposes. The SMS terms and the Privacy policy describe how your number and consent are handled.
Limits on liability
Orva takes care to keep its pages accurate, but research changes faster than any summary of it, and we cannot promise that a page is complete or current. To the extent the law allows, Orva is not responsible for losses arising from your use of the site or from any decision about research.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and using the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of Wyoming. Questions can go to info@orvasn.com or call (719) 701-8266.
